Our client is a well-known Japanese automotive company. Currently, they are looking for a Sales Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day sales and trading operations to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.
- Execute negotiations and make decisions within the authority granted, bearing full responsibility for the outcomes.
- Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business growth.
- Ensure proper inventory planning, pricing strategies, and sales forecasting to support business objectives.
- Gather, analyze, and utilize key information across the Group, Department, and Division to support effective decision‑making.
- Maintain a strong understanding of all operational activities within the division to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (operations, logistics, finance, procurement, and technical teams) to support end‑to‑end sales processes.
- Actively identify Kaizen points within the Group, Department, and Division to improve processes, efficiency, and business models.
- Deeply understand the company’s strategy (Hoshin) and ensure that divisional activities align with long‑term business goals.
- Support the creation of the division’s long‑term vision, strategic plans, and annual objectives.
- Contribute to the achievement of the division’s goals through strong execution of strategies and initiatives.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management regarding business opportunities, risks, and strategic direction.
Requirements
- Experience in a sales manager role within the trading industry, specifically handling automotive sectors. Experience as a sales manager in automotive manufacturing with familiarity in logistics processes is also welcome.
- Bachelor’s degree from a well‑known university.
- Strong understanding of management & operational control, financial acumen (budget management, profit‑loss management, balance sheet control, forex management, risk analysis & regulation such as customs in Indonesia).
- Leadership skills & people development: understanding talent acquisition, employee development, and creating a productive organization. Experience managing a minimum of three personnel.
- English is essential. Knowledge of Japanese is an added advantage.
