Job summary

A leading taste and nutrition company is looking for a Chemical Safety expert in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing insights on future changes in chemical legislation. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the Food/Beverage/Pharma industry, along with strong knowledge of APMEA chemical regulations and be able to work both independently and in a fast-paced environment. This is a permanent full-time position with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Preferably a minimum of 5 years in chemical safety.
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills.
• Able to interpret lab reports and official studies.

Responsibilities

• Identify EHS Hazards and assess risks associated with said hazards.
• Ensure all substance data in SAP EH&S is correct.
• Coordinate change management processes effectively.

Skills

Experience in Food/Beverage/Pharma industry, in regulatory

Expert knowledge of APMEA chemical legislations

Good knowledge of global GHS hazcom regulations

Ability to work accurately and quickly

Strong knowledge of database system maintenance

Strong IT skills with experience of standard software packages

Education

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related discipline
