About Our Client

Our client is a multinational plantation company with multiple sites in Indonesia. They are seeking to onboard an experienced Financial Controller (FC) with a background in plantation to lead their finance team.

Job Description

  1. Assist in preparing business plans, managing capital requests, and overseeing budgeting processes.
  2. Oversee accounting and reporting under IFRS, ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations, and support audits and compliance with local and HQ standards.
  3. Supervise treasury functions, maintain cash flow integrity, prepare forecasts, and manage funding and banking relationships.
  4. Support executive decisions, manage third-party finance functions, oversee transaction systems, and promote operational best practices.
  5. Drive risk mitigation, enforce internal controls, support audits, and follow up on issues identified.
  6. Oversee tax filings, provisions, transfer pricing, dispute resolutions, and compliance with new regulations.
  7. Report financially to local and group management, and maintain strong relationships with auditors and the internal team.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Malaysian nationality.
  2. Minimum Bachelor's Degree, with CPA or CMA qualification.
  3. Proven leadership experience as FC or equivalent.
  4. Over 15 years of relevant experience.
  5. Preferably with a background in palm oil or plantation industries.
  6. Ability to communicate in Mandarin (liaise with China office).
  7. Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  8. Based in Palembang, South Sumatra.
