The Role
The Recruitment and Employee Development (RED) Manager is a senior leadership position responsible for driving English 1’s national talent strategy. You will lead recruitment, learning and development, and employer branding—positioning English 1 as an employer of choice in the education sector. Managing a national team, you will shape the employee experience from first contact through to professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead national strategies for recruitment, training, and employee development.
  • Manage and coach a multi-disciplinary team (L&D, Training, Project Admin).
  • Drive employer branding and recruitment marketing to attract top talent.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of impactful CPD programs and national training events.
  • Monitor pipelines, training effectiveness, and workforce planning using data-driven insights.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align talent initiatives with organizational goals.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in recruitment, employee development, or HR leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse teams across functions.
  • Expertise in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project skills.
  • Background in education or language training.
  • Familiarity with international recruitment.
  • Experience in multi-site or distributed organizations.
  • Track record of improving candidate and employee engagement.
