A public utilities organization is seeking a Public Utilities Analyst Coordinator to lead cross-functional energy projects and provide technical testimony. This role requires a minimum of five years' experience in the energy sector and strong analytical skills. Hybrid work schedule available, up to 50% telework depending on business needs. Telework can be outside of the state of Minnesota if the candidate lives in a state bordering Minnesota and lives 50 miles or less from the primary work location. Primary work location will be the Golden Rule Building in St. Paul.

This position serves as a technical expert and lead for cross-functional complex dockets and issues for staff in the Financial Analysis Unit and provides highly technical testimony and written documentation for the Department of Commerce on matters before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Regional Transmission Organizations (MISO or SPP), and/or the Minnesota Legislature. The position is responsible for developing work plans and strategies for routine and highly complex and often contested natural gas and electric utility proceedings, which may be in both State and Federal jurisdictions. The position provides technical guidance, direction, and expertise to management and staff on a range of energy matters impacting Minnesota ratepayers.
Experience
Five (5) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in the energy industry.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.
An Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.
