o Plan, execute, and monitor projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.
o Manage all aspects throughout the project lifecycle to ensure proper completion of the project.
o Responsible for the project P&L.
2. Pre-Work Aspect
- Set up project Kick Off meeting internally and externally to understand and define the scope of work, timeline, objectives and customer’s requirements in order to provide problem‑solving services to the customers. (Project Kick Off meeting)
- Check regulatory requirements relevant to the work to ensure the work is executed while complying with the regulations.
- a site visit to survey the work area when needed.
- Coordinate with, get and verify the quotes from vendors, and work together with commercial team on proposal to customers.
- Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring a smooth operational flow.
- Develop project checklist to allow proper planning and tracking of the required activities.
- Prepare a cash flow forecast by working together with the finance team.
3. Work Aspect
- Oversee the execution of the project to meet the timeline and objective.
- Ensuring the work is carried out in compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
- Follow and track the activities checklist. This also includes ensuring inspections on equipment are done properly before the use of the equipment.
- Manage the change order to ensure we have customers’ approval on the changes.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including plans, reports, safety and compliance records. Present progress updates to stakeholders and management.
- Monitor the project expenses to ensure that the work is managed within budget as well as credit/contract limit.
4. Post-Work Aspect
- Verify vendor invoices and documents.
- Ensure complete documentation for the project to meet ISO requirements.
- Do prompt handover to admin/account team and track the billing progress as well as customers’ approval on the billing.
- Analyze project performance and outcomes, providing recommendations for process enhancements and efficiency improvements in port operations and cargo handling.
5. Client Liaison
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Team Leadership
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including marine team, logistics team, admin and account team, and external vendors, to achieve project objectives.
7. Branch Development
Initiate, assess and plan for the potential of place to become a branch for the company that can support the project in the particular area.
8. Safety Culture Development
Champion the establishment and maintenance of a safety‑first culture within all project teams. Conduct safety training, promote best practices, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics/supply chain, engineering or relevant field
- Must have 10 years’ experience working in offshore / project logistics industry
- Must have led a team of 10 or more with at least 3 direct reports, with managing experience of min. 5 years
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to port operations and cargo handling.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must have a good working knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, MS Project.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be culturally astute & be able to work across multiple cultures.
- MP or equivalent certification preferred.
- Have a supportive personality along with positive attitude.
