Position Overview

We are looking for an English‑speaking Procurement Assistant Manager to oversee company‑wide purchasing needs, including German‑engineered products and the made‑to‑order industrial machinery division. Accountable for relationship management with established German suppliers, data‑driven inventory decisions, and leadership of a team of purchasing agents across product divisions, this role requires strong negotiation skills, supply‑chain thinking, and the ability to balance supplier relationships with company profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement operations for the company’s day‑to‑day operations and product inventory sales needs, including multiple German suppliers (lubricants, burners, UPS, machinery components).
  • Analyze purchase history and forecast inventory needs to maintain optimal stock levels while avoiding excess.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and import conditions (Incoterms) with suppliers.
  • Ensure on‑time delivery to meet sales inventory levels, client project deadlines, and avoid penalties.
  • Source and qualify new suppliers for the custom machinery division as needed.
  • Lead and mentor a division‑specific team of four purchasing agents.
  • Maintain firm positions in negotiations while balancing supplier relationships with company profitability goals.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or an equivalent field.
  • At least 8 years of procurement / purchasing experience in an industrial company, with 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP FICO.
  • Health insurance (BPJS).
  • Daily lunch provision.
  • Based in Jakarta; willing to visit Bandung factory as needed.
Additional Information

Reports to the General Manager of Operations. 40‑hour work week with no overtime.
