Job description

You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems within an industrial setting. The role oversees all aspects of new engineering projects related to moving products from the design phase to full-scale production and internal project transfer within the organization’s business unit.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and manage a team of process engineers or industrial engineers, and technical staff on normal operation and project basis work.
• Lead the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes, from concept development to full-scale production as well as project transfer. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate with production managers and production management control teams to forecast production needs and allocate resources effectively. Optimize production schedules, equipment utilization, and manpower allocation to meet production targets while minimizing costs.
• Plan and execute engineering projects including newly setup and project transfer within established timelines and budgets. Define the required project scope, plan, allocate resources, and monitor progress to ensure project objectives are met
• Planning and implementing changes to existing machinery and equipment including production systems and methods of work with collaboration together with the Production Engineering and Equipment Engineering team.
• Identify production/engineering root causes and implement corrective and preventive measures from production feedback and regular audit sessions for improvement initiatives
• Oversees overall process engineering efforts on cost savings opportunities, support for new products, and tracking project expenses.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned by Plant Manager or General Manager

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical & Electronic, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in relevant industrial and engineering manufacturing with at least 5 years in leadership roles with a track record of success in optimizing production processes and project transfer while leading teams.
• Strong decision-making and people management skills
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Certifications preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.
• Able to perform in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
