Position:

The People and Culture Generalist supports the department in ensuring smooth and efficient People and Culture operations within the hotel environment. This role handles recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and People and Culture administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate new hire paperwork, welcome kits, and uniform issuance.
  • Facilitate hotel‑specific orientation programs, including brand standards, safety procedures, and service culture training.
  • Ensure all new staff understand hotel policies, expectations, and guest service standards.
  • Conduct reference checks and coordinate pre‑employment requirements.
  • Assist recruitment for hotel positions across all departments.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws, hotel industry regulations, and brand standards.
  • Manage employee records, employee files, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Support workplace safety programs and coordinate incident reporting with management.
  • Coordinate staff recognition programs, holiday events, and employee engagement activities.
  • Promote service excellence, teamwork, and a culture of hospitality.
  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions.
  • Process payroll changes, attendance corrections, and leave requests.
  • Monitor attendance and ensure adherence to hotel scheduling policies.
  • Maintain HRIS database and generate reports for management.
  • Update HR policies, employee handbook, and internal notices.
  • Support hotel HR projects and audits.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of HR experience, preferably in hotel or hospitality settings.
  • Familiarity with hotel operations and hospitality service standards.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and BPJS system.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
