This role is part of Alcon's Manufacturing function, a team that designs, produces and delivers innovative eyecare products to more than 140 countries through operational excellence and efficiency.

The Associate II, Operational Excellence (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for supporting cross-functional process improvement to enhance business performance using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies. Specifics include:

• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement tools

• Facilitate Kaizen events, root cause analysis, and cross-functional problem-solving workshops

• Analyze operational data to uncover performance gaps and develop actionable improvement plans

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee involvement

• Promote and sustain the use of Lean tools (5S, standard work, visual management, value stream mapping, etc.) on the shop floor

• Support the development of a continuous improvement mindset across all levels by providing coaching

• Assist in building Operational Excellence (OpEx) capability within the organization through structured programs, project mentoring, and knowledge sharing

• Take on complex technical tasks to support the cross-functional process improvement program
• Focus on eliminating waste, improving customer satisfaction, and increasing market share through Lean methodologies
• Assist in tracking and reporting progress towards annual objectives for the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP)
• Identify opportunities for Lean improvement (Gemba) events
• Support candidates for Green Belt and Black Belt training and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belts through their certification projects
• Participate in major Lean improvement events to achieve cost reductions
• Work at various organizational levels to create value and buy-in as a change driver
• Adhere to GxP regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation
• Ensure rigorous quality control, complete all required training, and meet individual job requirements to contribute to overall organizational compliance
• Commit to continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements

What Can You Bring to Alcon:
