We’re now looking for a Fullstack Mid-Senior PHP Developer urgently with a strong track record in troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and fine‑tuning database queries to help us scale our products and deliver even greater value to our customers both locally and internationally.

What you’ll do

• Profile and optimize code, APIs, and database queries to improve performance
• Refactor legacy code to enhance maintainability, scalability, and security
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and DevOps to deliver reliable, high‑performing features
• Mentor junior developers and foster best practices across the engineering team
• Continuously monitor and improve application performance, availability, and reliability

Requirements

• Proficient with Git using the command line
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• 4+ years of professional PHP development experience (Laravel, Slim, or similar frameworks)
• Strong ability to design and write efficient, scalable SQL queries (MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Comfortable working across both backend and frontend systems
• Proven ability to identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimized, maintainable solutions
• Solid experience designing and consuming REST APIs, including third‑party integrations
• Able to start with short notice
• Fast learner; collaborative, reliable team player with a strong sense of ownership
• Experience working with Education technology platforms or analytics systems
• Experienced with frontend development using ReactJS or VueJS
• Experienced in integrating with accounting platforms such as Xero
