Job summary

A leading M&E Service provider in Indonesia is looking for a skilled MEP Drafter who will be responsible for preparing accurate technical and shop drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems in construction and data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and experience in MEP drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD and a solid understanding of MEP systems are necessary for success in this role, along with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience as a Drafter in construction, MEP, or data center projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare MEP drawings for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Produce shop drawings and coordination drawings based on design documents and site conditions.
• Coordinate with MEP Engineers and project teams to ensure drawing accuracy.

Role Description

The MEP Drafter will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings and shop drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems used in construction and data center projects. You will support engineers and project teams by transforming design concepts into detailed drawings, updating revisions, and ensuring all drafting outputs meet project standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, proficiency in drafting software, and a solid understanding of MEP systems to ensure designs are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project requirements.

Job Description

• Develop and prepare MEP drawings including layout plans, sections, details, and schematics for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Produce shop drawings, as‑built drawings, and coordination drawings based on design documents and site conditions.
• Update drawings according to revisions, engineering instructions, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with MEP Engineers, project teams, and site supervisors to ensure drawings reflect actual site conditions and installation needs.
• Review tender documents, specifications, and design drawings to ensure drafting accuracy.
• Maintain drawing records, file organization, and documentation logs.
• Assist in clash detection and coordination between mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural elements.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, local codes, and client requirements.
• Support material take‑off (MTO) or quantity checks when required.
• Provide drafting support during meetings, design reviews, and coordination sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Drafter in construction, MEP, or data center projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, ELV, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is required to communicate effectively.
• Proficient in AutoCAD (required).
• Experience with Revit MEP or BIM tools is a strong advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in preparing drawings.
• Strong communication and coordination skills with engineers and site teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple revisions, and meet tight deadlines.
• Organized, responsible, and able to maintain proper documentation and file management.
