Lead Electrical Engineer

KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. The project will provide front‑end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities and has a peak production capacity target of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

Responsibilities
  • Develop electrical layout design concepts
  • Design criteria & specifications
  • Perform electrical analysis, calculations, & review
  • Implement government regulations and industrial codes in alignment with Scope of Work & Board of Directors requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10+ years of related experience, including 20+ years in the Oil & Gas industry
  • 5+ years as a Lead Electrical Engineer with LNG facilities
  • Demonstrated capacity with electrical system design, construction & startup of LNG facilities
  • Extensive experience in FEED & EPC engineering activities related to electrical system design of LNG facilities, with hands‑on experience in all project phases from FEED to detail engineering, construction, pre‑commissioning and commissioning, project management, and QC controls & procedures
  • Highly proficient in electrical control systems, power generation systems, electrical distribution systems, earthing systems, and electrical equipment such as transformers, motors, and AC/DC UPS
  • Detail understanding of large electrical power generation, distribution systems, and preferably combined cycle power generation systems
  • Competent with electrical design software
  • Familiar with related standards and codes
