About the role

Key Account Manager, Mining Explosives — Based in South Jakarta, this full-time role drives growth for PT Multi Nitrotama Kimia in the mining explosives sector. You will manage key accounts, build strategic relationships, and achieve sales targets.

Coordinate with SCM, distributors, back-office support, and production teams to drive the sales strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute account management strategies to maximize revenue and profitability from key mining explosives clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, delivering outstanding customer service and acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and close sales to meet or exceed targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, SCM Manager, Distributors, Marketing, Operations, and other teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services, including strategy identification, planning and execution.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to proactively identify growth opportunities and potential regional prospects.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on account performance, pipeline, and market insights.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall sales strategy for the mining explosives business unit.
  • Collect and analyze market and competitive landscape data; drive proactive action with the SCM team according to customer forecasts.
  • Manage monthly business reviews with the Business Development & Sales Team, manufacturing team, and SC Team to ensure aligned execution of company strategies.
  • Coach and support members of the sales team and collaborate with the manufacturing team to drive sales initiatives.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field; university degree or above; preferably Mining Engineering from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in key account management or senior sales, preferably in mining or explosives industries.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate complex organizations.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving sales targets; experienced in developing and executing account strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to liaise effectively with senior decision-makers and provide customer service.
  • In-depth understanding of the mining explosives market, including key trends, regulations, and competitor landscape.
  • Proven sales experience involving negotiating complex transactions.
  • Able to travel frequently and work under pressure; willing to be based in South Jakarta.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and computer systems (e.g., Microsoft Office) and technology awareness.
  • Good attitude, fast learner, high initiative, and adaptability.
