Job description

Ecolab is seeking a Procurement Head – Indonesia & SEA Indirect Manager – Business Services, based in Jakarta, to lead and manage procurement operations across the country. This role will oversee both direct and indirect procurement categories in Indonesia.

A key success factor for this role is the ability to build strong relationships with Supply Chain and business leaders across Indonesia, ensuring procurement strategies are aligned.

The Procurement Head – Indonesia & SEA Indirect Manager – Business Services will report to the Southeast Asia Market Lead and will play a critical role in delivering procurement excellence and value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement savings and operations for direct and indirect categories across Indonesia.
  • Lead and strategize indirect professional services category across SEA.
  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with business objectives, supply chain and global procurement standards.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to secure best value, quality, and service levels from suppliers.
  • Manage supplier selection, qualification, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee risk management strategies to ensure supply continuity and minimize supply chain disruptions.
  • Lead and develop a procurement team of three direct reports, providing coaching, performance feedback, and career development opportunities.
  • Drive cost reduction, savings initiatives, and process improvements across procurement operations.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, governance standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Collaborate with regional and global procurement teams to leverage supplier synergies and best practices.
  • Develop and manage procurement KPIs, reporting, and analytics to track and communicate performance and value delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing roles, preferably in a multinational environment.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing procurement of both direct and indirect categories.
  • Demonstrated team leadership and people development experience.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement governance, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with complex supply chains
