Job summary

A leading catering company in Indonesia is seeking an HR Manager to oversee sourcing, recruitment, and training programs for local employees. The ideal candidate has 5 years of remote project HR experience and a law or psychology degree. Proficiency in English is required. This role includes developing performance assessments and advocating for employee relations, aiming to enhance the local workforce's capabilities.

Job description

Manage personnel sourcing, recruitment, selection, placement, termination (as necessary), and interface with relevant government institutions and local communities.

Manage workforce management issues and resolutions, particularly on personnel hired locally.

Develop and manage personnel appraisal programs based on internal meritocracy and work performance assessment, trainings completion, code of conduct, and other factors contributed for evaluation purposes every 6 months. This includes establishment of reward and improvement programs.

Establish and manage training programs to support work performance delivery and standardization, and/or to provide awareness of relevant codes, standards, regulations, best practices, and working procedures.

Establish and manage upscaling training programs to support local Papuan workforce betterment and provide suitable roadmaps and opportunities allowing such local Papuan workforce to fulfill next-level positions.

Provide advocacy and lead in managing industrial and employment relation issues and resolutions in accordance with applicable prevailing regulations and best industry standards/practices at the site level.

Support the Project Manager to ensure the local Papuan development program is implemented as intended, achieving its target specified in the contract.

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

Bachelor's degree in law or psychology.

5 years of experience as an HR Manager at remote site projects/operations for the last 10 years, involving at least 100 direct workers.

Excellent skills in analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving, communication, planning, and organization.

Experienced in managing Industrial Relations (IRs) and Employee Relations (ERs), including disputes and settlement from recruitment, employment, deployment, and termination/demobilization.

Mastery of prevailing manpower regulations.

Strong knowledge and proficiency in operations-based human resource management issues and reporting.

Fluent in English (both speaking and writing).
