About the Team

The Southeast Asia (SEA) HR team is responsible for strategically developing and executing HR services and providing advisory support to employees, managers, and HR partners across the organization.

About the Role

The HR Specialist, SEA (ID) will manage the full employee lifecycle across Southeast Asia, with a primary focus on Indonesia. This role will oversee onboarding, employment changes, offboarding, payroll, and benefits administration, ensuring compliance with local HR policies and regulations. The HR Specialist combines operational management with strategic advisory, driving HR policies, improving workforce effectiveness, fostering employee engagement, and managing HR data and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR queries via email, phone, or service tools (e.g., ServiceNow), providing high-quality HR advisory and operational support to business leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs).
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes, offboarding, contract preparation, confirmations, renewals, re-employment, work visa applications, background checks, benefits enrollment, employee transfers, leave management, and invoicing. Ensure accuracy of employee records in the HRIS and consolidate payroll inputs for processing.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with business requirements and statutory regulations, working closely with legal for policy renewals, and handle timely and accurate regulatory filings with local authorities.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, enhance satisfaction and foster a positive work environment. Collaborate with HR teams in SEA to support regional employee engagement initiatives, ensuring consistency in company culture and engagement programs while addressing specific local employee needs and preferences.
  • Generate and maintain monthly or ad-hoc HR reports, analyzing workforce data, and providing meaningful insights to stakeholders.
  • Support various HR projects or initiatives span across SEA, such as digitalization initiatives, HR system upgrades, or regional diversity and inclusion programs. Provide support and expertise to other regional HR teams as needed.
  • Support change management initiatives across SEA, helping to drive regional transformation projects, employee communications, and cultural integration efforts.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesian labor laws, HR best practices, and employee lifecycle management.
  • Strong language proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Ensure the confidentiality of sensitive employee information and HR-related data, maintaining a high level of trust and integrity in all HR processes and interactions.
  • Experience with SAP and Workday is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including VBA and macros for automating HR tasks and reporting is a plus.
  • The ability to drive HR processes and deliver high-quality HR services in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, able to adapt quickly to change and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, manage ambiguity, and work under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and trust within the organization.
  • Proactive, with a positive attitude towards change and a focus on continuous improvement.
Education
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
