Job description

Modinity is a retail lifestyle company that curates several brands, including Buttonscarves, Buttonscarves Beauty, Benang Jarum, Nada Puspita, Zyta Delia, Calla The Label, and TYGA. Currently, we have over 100 stores throughout Indonesia and the principal of our Malaysian entity of Buttonscarves with a current count of 6 stores. We just expanded our store into Singapore market and looking forward to do enlarge our expansion globally.

Currently, we are searching for a Head of Infrastructure & Security to lead our technology foundation. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will own the roadmap for our cloud architecture, initially focused on GCP with a strategic mandate to design for a future Multi-Cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure & Multi-Cloud Strategy
  • Architect, manage, and optimize our primary environment on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Design a scalable Multi-Cloud strategy to ensure redundancy and avoid vendor lock-in.
  • Manage Kubernetes (GKE) clusters to support microservices, ensuring applications can be deployed across different cloud environments if needed.
• Cybersecurity & Governance
  • Define a unified security framework that spans across SaaS, On-Premise, and Multi-Cloud environments (e.g., Unified Cloud Security Posture Management).
  • Implement Zero Trust architecture and Identity & Access Management (IAM) capable of federating across different cloud providers.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, Local Laws - PDP) and retail standards (PCI-DSS), specifically regarding data residency in a multi-cloud setup.
• Enterprise Networking (Retail Focus)
  • Oversee the design of a hybrid network connecting HQ, Cloud environments, Retail Stores & & Factories networking (SD-WAN, VPN, Firewalls)
  • Ensure low-latency connectivity for Real-Time POS, Core Retail System, ERP, Warehouse Management systems, and Inventory systems.
• IT Operations, Assets & SaaS
  • End Point Management: Lead the strategy for a mixed fleet (Mac/Windows/iOS/Android) across corporate and retail floors.
  • IT Asset Management (ITAM): Manage the full lifecycle of hardware and software assets.
  • SaaS Ecosystem: Oversee the integration of enterprise SaaS solutions, ensuring secure API gateways and efficient data flow between Core Retail System, Shopify, and internal tools.
• Leadership & Financials
  • Manage the Cloud Cost Optimization (FinOps) strategy to monitor and control spend across GCP and future cloud providers.
  • Build and mentor a team of DevOps and Security engineers.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 10+ years in IT Infrastructure and Security, with significant leadership experience.
• Cloud Expertise: Deep expertise in GCP (Architecture & Operations), Demonstrated experience or certification in AWS or Azure or Alibaba Cloud, Proven experience designing Cloud-Agnostic architectures (you know how to build systems that aren't tied to a single vendor).
• Technical Stack: Proficiency in multi-cloud (such as Terraform), Strong background in Kubernetes/Docker, Networking (SD-WAN, BGP, DNS, Cloud Networking).
• Security: Experience securing complex hybrid environments; knowledge of CIS benchmarks and ISO 27001.
• Willing to work fulltime from our Head Office in Pejaten, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 6pm.
