JOB DESCRIPTION:

Maintain quality control over financial transactions and reporting by ensuring all business transactions are recorded and reported appropriately according to accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, MD&A, and cash flow statements.

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Manage and oversee all aspects of the general ledger, including account reconciliations.

Analyze variances between actuals and budgets. Provide explanations for variances and offer recommendations for improvement.

Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting process by working closely with business units and cross-functional departments in preparing budgets.

Collaborate with IT and finance teams to recommend and implement modifications to the accounting system, and other data-related information extracted from the system.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management team.

Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, standardize, and automate finance processes.

Review and post journal entries as required and other ad-hoc duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum educational background of S1 Finance and Accounting. MBA or CPA preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position as a Finance Supervisor.

Experience in the retail and construction industry preferred.

Experience in MSDOS and other ERP implementation projects preferred.

Good leadership and managerial skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build deep partnerships across different functions and departments.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.

Advanced Excel skills, strong understanding of data, and experienced with Business Intelligence software.
