Position Overview

The Factory Manager will be responsible for leading and overseeing all manufacturing operations at an FMCG production facility located in Cibitung. This role ensures that production runs efficiently, safely, and in alignment with quality standards, cost targets, and company policies. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep manufacturing experience, and a proven track record in optimizing factory performance within the FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities
1. Production & Operational Management
  • Lead, plan, and oversee daily production activities to achieve output, efficiency, and quality targets.
  • Ensure production schedules are met according to customer demand and inventory requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM) to drive productivity and reduce waste.
2. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards such as GMP, HACCP, ISO, and internal SOPs.
  • Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure product quality, hygiene, and food safety across all processes.
  • Oversee corrective and preventive actions for quality deviations.
3. People Leadership & Development
  • Manage and mentor production, engineering, warehouse, and QC teams.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and create development plans for key personnel.
  • Enforce discipline, teamwork, and a positive working culture on the production floor.
4. Cost Efficiency & Resource Management
  • Control factory budgets, including labor, utilities, raw materials, and maintenance costs.
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Review and approve purchasing needs for factory operations.
5. Engineering & Maintenance
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness of all equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure minimal downtime through effective maintenance strategies and spare part planning.
6. Health, Safety & Environment
  • Ensure full compliance with HSE policies and legal regulations.
  • Promote a safe working environment and proactively address potential hazards.
  • Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness programs.
7. Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination
  • Work closely with procurement, logistics, and planning teams to maintain raw material availability and manage finished goods flow.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent production disruption.
8. Reporting & Strategic Planning
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, cost control, and operational issues.
  • Support senior management in long-term capacity planning and facility development projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Food Technology, or related fields.
