Job Summary

To support the growth of our student body, Sekolah Bogor Raya is seeking an experienced English Language Teacher for Playgroup and Kindergarten. The successful candidate must demonstrate fluency in both spoken and written English. (Support in obtaining a work permit will be provided if required.)

This role involves planning, delivering, and assessing engaging English language instruction for early childhood learners. The English Language Teacher will collaborate closely with colleagues, communicate effectively with parents, and participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices and student learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the English Language Coordinator and the Vice Principal for Academic Affairs to maintain high academic standards aligned with curriculum expectations.
• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English language lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional development of early childhood learners.
• Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning practices to ensure students are effectively supported throughout their learning journey.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active learning and positive behavior.
• Set high expectations for students’ language development and personal growth, both in the classroom and through co-curricular activities.
• Model and promote best practices in early childhood English language teaching.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and development.
• Participate actively in professional development activities and collaborative school initiatives.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field; or a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education or English with a recognized TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience, preferably in early childhood or primary education.
• Demonstrates excellent proficiency in spoken and written English suitable for an English-immersive learning environment.
• Experience teaching within an international curriculum (IB PYP preferred).
• Experience using Letterland or other early literacy programs is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Well-organized, committed, creative, and energetic, with the ability to engage learners effectively.
• Demonstrates professionalism, strong moral values, and a positive role‑modeling attitude.
