Electrical & Instrument Superintendent (Plant Processing)
This role is responsible for leading and managing all Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance activities across the site. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the E&I Superintendent ensures that all mine equipment is maintained safely, reliably, and effectively, while providing strategic direction for E&I operations and collaborating with the Management team to develop and implement the overall site strategy.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Management team to define the direction and mid‑to‑long‑term operational and project development objectives for the Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) maintenance function.
- Support the Management team in establishing and implementing the overall site budget.
- Provide high‑level technical advice and strategic input to the Management team on E&I matters.
- Develop the overall E&I maintenance strategy by incorporating input from other departments and stakeholders.
- Establish and manage the E&I maintenance production budget in alignment with the overall mine budget and business plan.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant mining laws and safety regulations, ensuring team compliance with all requirements.
- Take a leading role in recruitment, performance management, and professional development of E&I personnel.
- Ensure direct reports receive appropriate training, coaching, and development to achieve optimal efficiency and performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) qualification.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered.
- 8–12 years of experience in maintenance‑related roles, particularly within a gold processing plant, including Crushing, Grinding, and Thickener systems.
- 5–7 years of supervisory experience in maintenance operations within mining or mineral processing environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and solve technical and operational problems.
