Job description
  • Processed all purchase requisitions from client/users in timely manner and follow company standard operational procedure.
  • Writing, placing and tracking purchase orders.
  • Ensuring products are purchased at the right time, to specification and at a good price.
  • Negotiating with vendors and building positive, long‑term relationships.
  • Researching new suppliers and making recommendations to the Superior.
  • Preparing competitive retail and pricing strategies under contract.
  • Planning, monitoring and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
  • Preparing budgets and forecasting purchasing trends.
  • Compiling reports on product performance and statistics.
  • Sourcing suppliers based on price, requirement, availability, quality, and delivery cost.
  • Coordinating with logistics and forwarder to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Coordinating with Inventory Control (IC) to maintain stock levels and inventory in warehouse.
  • Follow up and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare bid evaluation report and recommendation for purchase award.
  • Prepare CMP (Contract Management Planning) and raise the FPA Contract.
What skills and experience do you need?
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years’ working experience in a similar role as Specialist Procurement/Buyer, with at least 2 years in purchasing/procurement within a large mining organization, construction, or EPC industry.
  • Experience in purchasing high‑dollar items and preparing complex purchase orders or contracts.
  • General understanding of Indonesian business, legal system, company law, immigration, manpower, tax, importation, mines, and energy regulations.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and negotiating skills, sound business sense, advanced documentation skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written) and computer literate.
