About the role

The Key Account Manager expands relationships with key customers to deliver the sales strategy and objectives across different End Used Markets (EUMs) such as Bakery, Dairy, Snack, Beverages and Nutrition for global and local customer accounts in Indonesia. This role is responsible for achieving sales quota and assigned strategic account objective and represents the entire range of Kerry’s products in a customer menu first approach. They will lead the customer account planning cycle, ensuring alignment with customers’ needs and expectations.

Key responsibilities
Customer management
  • Responsible for achieving set KPIs across all customers under your control.
  • Establish and maintain good relationship with key customers.
  • Selling a variety of food ingredient products and technologies to Key accounts proactively.
  • Define and grow the business through effective customer management and account business plans for the responsible customers.
  • Communicates and consistently monitors progress of the execution of the key account strategies.
Sales Planning, Execution & Project management
  • Collaborate with EUM and Technology leads to deliver and drive an account plan with goals for short and long-term growth that is aligned to Kerry Strategy and growth targets.
  • Provide and manage sales forecast to the relative departments internally.
  • Lead and drive end-to-end project management by connecting all internal teams to maximize effectiveness and efficiency / meet KPI’s.
  • Exploring and developing potential new customers and opportunities.
  • Market analysis and understanding the competitors and their products and strategies.
Qualifications and skills
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science / Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nutrition or other related fields.
  • Preferably at least 10 years or more of relevant working experience in Customer-facing, Sales / Business Development role in the Food Ingredients industry with proven track record of delivering result.
  • Deep understanding of Indonesia retail business, key account and fragmented market.
  • Exposure in Taste industry and/or Health and Nutrition industry is preferable.
  • Experienced in strategic account planning, with strong negotiating and customer engagement skills.
  • Must be fluent in English (both oral & written).
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to work in a matrix organisation structure within a complex market.
  • Positive attitude and personality; open-minded, willing to learn, precise and a hands-on, team player.
  • Self-motivated, with a ‘never give up’ attitude.
