An established and innovative organisation is seeking a Junior Technical Author to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in producing clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation that supports products and services.

• Collaborate with engineers, developers, and other technical specialists to understand complex products or systems, gathering the necessary information for accurate documentation.
• Produce clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, including user guides, instruction manuals, training materials, and installation instructions.
• Review and revise existing documents to ensure they are up-to-date, correct, and easily understood by the intended audience.
• Create and commission diagrams, illustrations, screenshots, and other visual aids to support technical explanations.
• Evaluate newly written materials with end-users to ensure clarity and usability.
• Maintain and update a central library of technical information and documentation.
• Keep abreast of trends, standards, and developments within the relevant engineering or technology sector.
• Undertake additional tasks as required by management.

• Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation.
• Ability to understand technical information and communicate it clearly.
• Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., MS Office, Adobe FrameMaker, MadCap Flare) is desirable.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Technical Communication, Engineering, or related field is advantageous.
