Job summary
A local authority in Gloucestershire is seeking experienced Social Workers to provide outstanding service to children and young people. As a Social Worker, you will be instrumental in delivering a first-class service to ensure the best outcomes for the children and young people of Gloucestershire. Through building positive relationships with colleagues within the service and partner agencies you will ensure we are able to provide support and protection for children and young people in need and at risk.
As well as your experience as a frontline social worker, there are some things we require of you to be successfully appointed to this post:
- Social Work England registration
- Experience at Senior Social worker level
- A recognised qualification in Social Work
- To have passed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
- A full driving licence and willingness to drive
- Enhanced DBS clearance
NOTE: Applications from Skilled Workers already living and working in the UK will be considered, with the following additional criteria:
- currently registered with SWE
- looking to move Certificate of Sponsorship and relocate to Gloucestershire
- has a minimum of 2 years UK based experience in statutory services.
We are currently looking for permanent Social Workers or Senior Social Workers to join our various teams across our six localities. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers to join a focused and ambitious local authority.
For all your hard work. You will receive the following.
- Between £39,152 - £47,181 per annum subject to experience*
- Annual retention payment of £2,000
- Welcome payment of £4,000
- Hybrid working opportunities (minimum 2-3 days in the office)
- 25.5 days annual leave rising to 30.5 days after 5 years continuous service
*Please note that we pay up to £47,181 per annum, depending on experience and we pay an initial welcome payment of £4,000
