About Perthyn

Perthyn is a not-for-profit organisation where we believe in creating a world where everyone feels empowered, included, and supported to live the life they choose. We provide person-centred support to people with learning disabilities across Wales and England, guided by our values of Integrity, Empowerment, Innovation, Accountability, Inclusivity, Belonging, Accomplishment, and Resilience.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in helping people enhance their lives by maximising independence and supporting them to live the life they choose. In supported living, your role is all about providing person-centred support that empowers individuals to make their own choices and shape their own future. Rather than doing everything for someone, you’ll focus on promoting independence, ensuring dignity, wellbeing, and meaningful experiences every day.

No two days are the same! You might be:

  • Supporting someone to enjoy hobbies like arts and crafts, music, baking, gardening, Wii Fit, or jigsaws
  • Joining in with community activities such as bowling, cinema trips, volunteering, swimming, or visiting places like Folly Farm
  • Helping with daily routines, health appointments, and managing conditions like epilepsy or diabetes
  • Encouraging independence while creating fun, meaningful experiences every day

Some roles include sleep-ins or waking nights, and you’ll need a UK driving licence to support people with trips and activities. You’ll work as part of a friendly, professional team where compassion, patience, and adaptability make all the difference.

What We Need From You

  • A warm, adaptable approach to person-centred support
  • Ability to work flexibly across a range of shifts

Your Rewards
  • Competitive Salary– with a generous sleep-in allowance to boost your earnings
