About the Role

As an Electrical Apprenticeship Tutor, your role will encompass delivering practical and theoretical electrical training, aligning with company and awarding organisations' guidelines to apprentices or commercial clients, both in the classroom and through practical, hands-on training. You will also be responsible for our apprenticeship delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons to apprentices in the classroom and through practical, hands-on training.
  • Develop and update lesson plans and training materials to align with industry standards and apprenticeship frameworks.
  • Assess apprentices' work, providing constructive feedback and support to help them improve.
  • Monitor and track apprentices' progress, maintaining accurate records of their achievements and areas for development.
  • Provide one-on-one support and mentoring to apprentices, addressing any learning or personal issues they may encounter.
  • Carry out progress reviews with both apprentice and employer.
  • Ensure all training and assessments comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with employers, giving technical advice where necessary to ensure training meets the needs of the workplace and supports apprentices' on-the-job learning.
  • Assess courses in line with company and awarding bodies guidelines, including keeping accurate and timely records of attendance, assessment, and achievement.
  • Review individual apprentice performance at agreed points in the program and complete 'at risk' procedures.
  • Implement Internal Quality Assurance requirements as set by the company and awarding bodies.
  • Comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures to protect your own safety and that of others.
  • Comply with and promote Equality & Diversity policies and practices.
  • Work as a member of a team and liaise effectively with other departments and organisations.
  • Support and promote Safeguarding and Prevent requirements.
