CMA Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a growing and dynamic business based in Fareham, Hampshire to recruit a part time Finance Assistant for 25 hours per week. This role will require a five day working week but there is flexibility around the hours worked.

As the company continues to expand, this newly created role offers the chance to join a supportive and collaborative finance team, where you'll gain exposure across a broad range of accounting tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills within a progressive, fast-paced environment.

This position offers two days working from home per week upon completion of the probation period.

• Processing all sales and purchase invoices onto the finance system.
• Ensuring that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable.
• Ensuring that accounts receivable are collected promptly.
• Processing of bank transactions onto the finance system.
• Ensuring that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
• Ensuring that required debt payments are made on a timely basis.
• Maintain an orderly account filing system.
• Issuing contract letters to customers upon certain triggered contract inception dates.
• Maintaining the invoicing calculations and logs and raising customer invoices.
• Daily cashflow forecast updates using the template provided.
• Sales order processing as required by your line manager.

• Demonstrative finance/accounting experience within a commercial business.
• Experience of finance accounting package (Sage 50 accounts is preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to investigate data is essential.
• A friendly and positive personality with excellent communication and team-working skills is also essential, with the ability to be proactive and problem solve.
• The ability to work under pressure and adapt is essential.
