Client Finance Accountant - 12 month FTC

Department: Client Finance

Reporting To: Client Finance Manager

Description

At PoloWorks, you will provide high-quality, professional accounting services to our clients, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and full compliance with regulatory and reporting deadlines. You’ll contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, supporting our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain client records and reconcile ledgers.
  • Prepare management accounts, consolidate financial reports, and complete regulatory returns.
  • Prepare statutory accounts.
  • Process, review, and approve journals and reference data on the ledger.
  • Approve payments in line with delegated authority and monitor outstanding invoices/statements.
  • Monitor cash movements and balances, escalating to the Client Manager as needed.
  • Process payroll on behalf of clients.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, auditors, and clients professionally.
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and controls are documented, followed, and updated.
  • Stay informed about regulatory changes and collaborate with clients, third parties, and internal teams to ensure controlled implementation.
  • Support recruitment, training, development, and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Assist clients with audits.
  • Participate in additional projects and tasks as required.

  • Knowledge of general insurance finance, including regulatory returns (desirable).
  • Familiarity with SUN/Q&A accounting software (desirable).
