Trainee workshop technicians

Salary: £12.21ph - £13ph
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm (40 hours per week)

Syntech Recruitment Solutions are looking for a couple of Trainee technicians to join our Sign Manufacturing client, supplying bespoke signage and display pieces to clients across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in a spray painting and surface finishing environment. No prior experience is required, but a genuine interest in manufacturing and hands‑on work is essential. Candidates with a car & driving licence will be at a distinct advantage.

We are seeking an operative to join the spray painting department and another to help in various departments round the production facility

Trainee Sprayer Duties:

• Preparing materials for spraying (metals, plastics, MDF, and timber)
• Using wet spray and powder coating techniques
• Assisting experienced sprayers with set‑up and application
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all Health & Safety protocols

General workshop operative:

• Learn to use different production equipment
• Assist senior operators where required
• Work and gain experience in different departments
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Following all Health & Safety protocols

As stated, no experience is required, however applicants will have:

• Ability to follow clear instructions and work well in a team
• Interest in working with paints, coatings, and surface finishes
• Able to commute to site near Blackwater via their own transport
