Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

We are looking for a talented lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. You will be embedded with the Kuiper business with a focus on supporting commercial customer and partner deals across EMEA.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology enjoys being continually challenged and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations.

This position will be based in London. Some travel primarily within Europe will be required.

You will support Kuiper commercial business development and sales efforts in EMEA with a focus on supporting mobility engagements. Legal support will include structuring drafting and negotiating a range of agreements (e.g. agreements to sell services and customer terminals) and counseling the business team on legal issues related to Kuipers customer and partner contracts. The successful candidate will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative business-centric ways and build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

• Licensed to practice law in the UK and / or US or other relevant EMEA jurisdiction.
• 5 years of post-qualification legal experience.
• Excellent English both spoken and written
• A mix of law firm and in-house experience is a plus
• Experience counseling clients on deals in EMEA countries
• Experience in the mobility or telecom sectors
• Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Excited and passionate about innovating on behalf of our customers
• Strong written and oral communication skills
