Job summary
A reputable firm in high-reliability electronics is seeking a Business Development Manager to manage northern England. This fully remote role involves developing customer relationships, driving sales, and extensive travel. Candidates should have a strong background in B2B sales, preferably in electronics or related markets. A driving license and flexibility to travel are required. The position offers a salary of approximately £55,000 plus performance bonuses and generous holiday allowances.

Skills
Are you a results-driven Business Development Manager with a passion for technical sales? Fully Remote - covering northern England up to Scottish borders regions. Join a long-established UK organisation in the high-reliability electronics sector and help drive growth with customers across the UK, predominantly Northern UK. This is a remote role with regular travel to client sites and occasionally the company's HQ in Mid Wales. You'll have the autonomy to manage your regions while enjoying the backing of a trusted brand with over 50 years of expertise.
- Developing new customer relationships and generating fresh opportunities
- Attending client meetings, site visits, industry events and technical presentations
- Driving proposals, negotiations and closing complex deals
- Working closely with internal technical teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Managing your sales pipeline, forecasts and reporting
- Proven track record in B2B sales / business development
- Preferably a background in electronics, electrical engineering or knowledge of passive, power or electromechanical components
- Ideally experience selling into defence, aerospace, rail or industrial markets
- Excellent communicator, confident presenting to both technical and commercial stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence + flexibility to travel extensively
- Salary: c. £55,000 + commission
- Performance bonus:
- 5% of salary for achieving 100% of target
- 10% of salary for achieving 110% of target
- 25 days holiday (rising to 30 after 5 years' service)
- 37.5 hours per week
- Expenses package covering travel, meals and hotels
- Remote-first role with freedom to manage your region
