Overview
A leading residential developer is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to take ownership of a major regeneration scheme. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-rise residential developments, contributing to the delivery of innovative and sustainable communities.
As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for managing all technical and design-related matters throughout the pre-construction and delivery phases, working closely with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure the project meets quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the design process from planning through to completion.
- Manage the production and review of design information, ensuring compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and project specifications.
- Collaborate with external consultants and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate flow of information.
- Provide technical input into procurement strategies and tender documentation.
- Assist in managing risk, buildability reviews, and value engineering.
- Support the site team during construction by resolving technical queries and issues promptly.
- Oversee the discharge of planning conditions and statutory approvals in a timely manner.
- Ensure all technical documentation, including O&M manuals, is delivered on time and in line with project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Senior Technical Coordinator in residential development.
- Strong knowledge of high-rise construction and building regulations.
- Background in architecture, engineering, or design management.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on major regeneration schemes and high-risk building projects.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
