Qualifications

Job description
Overview

Technical Services Supervisor (Mechanical) – Location: Healthcare estate environment. Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week). Salary & Benefits: Competitive + excellent package.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and motivate the mechanical maintenance team.
  • Manage PPM, reactive works, and statutory testing across plant and equipment.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure work meets compliance and quality standards.
  • Provide technical support on HVAC, water systems, pressure systems, and more.
  • Oversee safety processes, permits to work, toolbox talks, and RAMS.
  • Use CAFM systems (e.g., MAXIMO) to track and close out tasks.
  • Ensure accurate records, certification, and reporting.
  • Support lifecycle projects, isolations, and planning of works.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required.
What You'll Bring

Essential:

  • Recognised mechanical apprenticeship + ONC/C&G (or equivalent).
  • 5+ years' experience in a commercial/industrial maintenance environment.
  • Supervisory/line management experience on large, complex sites.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, water systems, pressure systems, steam plant.
  • Experience with PPM, reactive maintenance, CAFM systems.
  • Competent Person / Authorised Person experience.
  • Strong understanding of statutory regulations and H&S.

Desirable:

  • HNC or higher qualification.
  • Experience in healthcare estates and HTM guidance.
  • BMS knowledge.
  • Health & Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
  • Legionella (L8) training/experience.
