Job summary
A construction management company in Birmingham is seeking a Site Agent / Civils Site Manager for a highways improvement project. Responsibilities include planning, site cost control, and ensuring health and safety compliance. Preferred candidates will have HNC/HND in Civil Engineering and a CSCS Black Card. This position offers a chance to work on a significant project with opportunities for career development.
Qualifications
- Preferred: engineering background HNC / HND Civil Engineering.
- CSCS - Black card (NVQ level 6) (or equivalent)
- SMSTS: 5 days (Must)

- Contract budget preparation and monitoring.
- Management of site staff, sub-contractors and operatives.

Site Agent / Civils Site Manager - starts back end of September. Will get you through Xmas. Outside Snow Hill junction improvement job - as you can imagine this is a very busy junction and will involve a week of nights to get the traffic management and site compound in place then days after that. Involving junction and highways improvement - Road / Highways experience.
- Planning, programming and resourcing.
- Contract Budget and target programme - preparation and monitoring.
- Site Cost Control.
- Construction of the works to specified quality standards.
- Health & Safety and Environmental compliance and best practice.
- Compliance with contract particulars.
- Management of site staff, sub-contractors and operatives.
- Efficient utilisation and use of resources in carrying out your duties.
- Maintain comprehensive records and ensure all records are archived.
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Inspection, testing, commissioning and handover.
- Preferred: engineering background HNC / HND Civil Engineering.
- CSCS - Black card (NVQ level 6) (or equivalent)
- SMSTS: 5 days (Must)
- First Aid: Full 3 Day Course (Advantage)
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator (Advantage)
- Confined Space Training - (Advantage)
- NRSWA – Supervisor - (Advantage)
