Job summary
A leading compressed air supplier is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance on equipment at customer sites across South Wales. The successful candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience in the compressed air or electromechanical fields, and the ability to maintain good professional relationships. This position offers a salary between £30,000 and £40,000, a company van, and additional benefits.

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a leading compressed air supplier.
The successful candidate will provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites, covering South Wales and surrounding areas.
- Provide electrical and mechanical repair, service and maintenance on compressed air equipment at customer sites.
- Undertake planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostics and fault finding of compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and downstream products.
- Maintain, repair and install air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers & dryers, nitrogen generators and other compressed air and pneumatic equipment.
- Install compressed air/water & nitrogen pipelines into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
- Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on various compressed air equipment.
- Liaise with various engineering departments.
- Cover South Wales and surrounding areas; travel as required.
- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems, ideally compressed air related products.
- Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer or similar.
- The ability to maintain good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
- Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
- Service experience in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in filtration, pneumatics, hydraulics, nitrogen generators, pipework, vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, valves, pumps, motors, rotating equipment, hydraulics, pneumatics, refigeration or similar transferable products related to compressed air. Full product training provided.
- A technical engineering degree or apprentice trained would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel and cover South Wales and surrounding areas.
