A leading audio technology distributor is seeking an Internal Technical Sales professional to join their team in Leighton Buzzard. This office-based role demands strong communication skills to support customers via phone and email, along with technical expertise in audio and visual products. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships, assisting with product selection, and achieving sales targets. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, and ready to thrive in a busy environment. A competitive salary of £26,000 - £30,000 plus bonuses is offered.

Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Exec to join their friendly team and be an integral part of their mission to become the UK’s most recognised and warmly regarded B2B Trade Distributors of Professional and Commercial Audio, Lighting, Video, Special Effects and Ancillary. You will be an integral part of the internal sales team contributing towards the daily drive to achieve the company’s sales targets and objectives.
This is a busy office-based role in which you will be required to converse with customers via telephone and email on a daily basis, supporting and reacting to their requirements, following up quotes, sales leads and opportunities. Utilising your technical knowledge and experience you will be required to assist customers and less technical colleagues to identify the right products for the application and assist with design and specification. From time to time, you may also be asked to take part in office based proactive sales campaigns. You will be working closely with the rest of the sales team and the wider team at the company to deliver the best possible customer service to the companies trade customers.
Excellent communication skills both orally & written (emails etc.)
Good numeracy skills to work out costs, best sales return
Good Computer skills : Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
CRM System (Microsoft 365 Business Central / NAV Dynamics useful but not essential)
Self‑disciplined, organised and ability to work on own initiative and with attention to detail
Self‑motivated with desire and ability to achieve own and agreed goals
Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with customers, vendors and colleagues
Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment and to prioritise as necessary
Ability and trustworthiness to work alone with minimal supervision
Great attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up‑to‑date information
A good basic level of education (i.e. schooling / further education) and ideally qualifications in the field of audio, lighting and visual products
Good knowledge of audio, lighting and / or visual products, preferably (but not essentially), in commercial products
Technical experience with proof of working history using your technical ability and knowledge
Experience and / or desire to work within a busy office environment working closely with your colleagues helping, advising and supporting
