The Department of Physics at Durham University seeks to appoint a talented individual to the role of Assistant Professor (Nuclear Fusion). The successful candidate will be a member of the Centre for Advanced Instrumentation (CfAI).
We welcome applications from those with research and teaching interests in magnetic confinement fusion, ideally in diagnostics for fast particles and/or MHD instabilities. The candidate will contribute to the Fusion Power Centre for Doctoral Training, of which Durham is a member.
The Centre for Advanced Instrumentation is a major research group within the Department of Physics, comprising 10 staff, 39 research staff, 2 support staff, and about 20 postgraduate students. More information can be found at:
