Leading global corporate intelligence and cyber security consultancy S-RM is seeking an exceptional investigations professional to join our dynamic Disputes & Investigations team in the UK as a junior Case Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong technical Investigator to shift into a role more focused on client and case management, responding to the complex contentious situations facing our clients today.
S-RM is a global intelligence and cyber security consultancy. Since 2005, we’ve helped companies, governments and private individuals solve some of their most complex and sensitive challenges.
Our Corporate Intelligence division uses the latest research and intelligence‑gathering techniques to investigate how companies and individuals really do business in today’s world. We work with some of the most prominent and sophisticated organisations to help them understand partners, customers, assets and territories across the globe. We also provide specialised investigative support to law firms, businesses and individuals in contentious situations such as litigation, commercial disputes and internal investigations.
As a Case Manager, you will play an important role in the way that we engage with our clients. We are looking for someone with the ability to propose creative solutions to client problems and deliver quality investigative findings based on open source research, human intelligence and the robust analysis of intelligence.
The Disputes & Investigations practice is a fast‑paced environment and a fast‑growing team, comprised of senior investigators with a diverse range of experience and a varied pipeline of complex work. The core of the team is based in London with representation and growing practices in our New York and Singapore offices. As well as asset recovery, litigation support and private client work, the team works closely with our Digital Forensics practice on internal corporate investigations.
Good teamwork and clear communication are integral to success at S‑RM. We work collaboratively to address complex intelligence challenges and provide our clients with well‑sourced, sophisticated reporting on contentious and sensitive issues. Our case managers regularly attend business development and client management meetings both in London and outside the UK, and travel to execute casework and expand our human source networks. As you develop in the role, you will be expected to nurture a network of external contacts, and to build up your knowledge of the commercial and legal dynamics that impact our work. You will also be expected to keep abreast of key developments in the Disputes & Investigations space, and to guide the analysts whose work you manage to ensure it is as incisive and robust as possible.
We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of working on complex investigations, who is ready to progress their career in a management role, taking responsibility for the matters they oversee and ensuring we continue to deliver the best possible outcomes for clients.
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will likely include:
Our Case Managers are experienced investigators and research practitioners, who are confident in navigating and leading investigations. They are able to complete smaller investigations autonomously, sometimes delivering these reports themselves but usually overseeing analysts, and to provide a significant contribution as part of a larger investigative team for our most complex work.
That said, if you don’t think you meet all of the criteria below but still are interested in the job, please apply. Nobody checks every box—we’re looking for candidates that are particularly strong in a few areas, and have some interest and capabilities in others.
