Overview

Islamorada Resort Collection comprises three premier resorts located in Islamorada, a village in the Florida Keys: Three Waters Resort & Marina, Amara Cay Resort, and La Siesta Resort & Villas. The Collection offers a seamless Keys experience, with twelve restaurants to savor island flavor, 80,000 sq. ft. of stunning event space, 108 slips to dock your boat, 329 guest rooms, and endless activities, events, and amenities. Surrounded by three spectacular bodies of water including the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Florida Bay, guests can choose from four private beaches to relax on or embark on boating, fishing, snorkeling, and diving excursions.

Job Description

We're seeking a creative and detail-oriented Event Planning Manager to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of events, from initial planning to execution, to ensure that our guests have an unforgettable experience. The Event Planning Manager acts as a liaison between the customer and hotel sales person to provide direction and supervision during execution of meeting and banquet functions or event. You will be available to customers during events to solve problems and suggest alternatives to previous arrangements. You will directly serve group and catering customers in a proactive manner working with the logistics of group room blocks, food and beverage, public meeting space, and billing processes. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 2+ years of hotel sales experience
  • 1-year food and beverage experience
  • Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts
  • Passion for event design and creative upselling
  • Developed business communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Present a professional appearance and confidence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public and other Team Members
  • Strong time management skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM systems– Delphi and Marriott CI/TY preferred
