A leading media company in Greater London is seeking a Bespoke Art Director to lead creative projects across print and digital platforms. This hybrid role requires significant experience in art direction and a strong portfolio in editorial design, ensuring all projects meet high creative standards. The Bespoke Art Director at Wallpaper* Magazine leads the creative direction of bespoke and branded content projects, delivering visually distinctive, culturally relevant work that aligns with Wallpaper*'s editorial authority and design‑led ethos. Reporting to the Bespoke Advertising Director, this role sits at the intersection of the editorial and commercial teams, ensuring every bespoke project meets the magazine's uncompromising creative standards. Multidisciplinary and multi‑platform in approach, the role sees the development of innovative work across print, digital, social and events.
Lead the creative vision for Wallpaper* Bespoke projects across print, digital, social, and experiential platforms. Working closely with the Bespoke Director, copywriters, editorial, commercial, and production teams, you will develop original, design‑led concepts that align partner objectives with Wallpaper*'s distinctive editorial voice. You will confidently present ideas to stakeholders, collaborate with internal Future teams when required, and work with a network of writers, photographers, stylists, and external creatives.
Oversee and execute high‑quality design and art direction across print and digital features, special editions, and interactive storytelling formats. You will ensure exceptional attention to detail in typography, layout, imagery, and motion, while pushing creative boundaries through culturally intelligent, innovative design. Staying ahead of trends in design, fashion, architecture, and visual culture, you will elevate brand partnerships without compromising editorial integrity.
Manage multiple bespoke projects end to end, maintaining creative excellence while meeting deadlines and budgets. You will oversee final artwork approvals and production workflows, ensuring consistent quality across all outputs. In addition, you will create compelling design‑led marketing collateral—such as media packs, brand decks, issue flyers, and event invitations—to support the commercial team and international representatives.
Strong grasp of contemporary culture, design, architecture, and global creative trends.
The expected range for this role is £55,000- £60,000.
