Contentious Probate Solicitor (2+ years PQE or CILEX) | Barnstaple

The Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contentious Probate Solicitor (2+ years PQE or CILEX), with no upper limit on PQE, to join a highly regarded team based in Barnstaple. This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value disputes alongside leading professionals in the field.

The team has an outstanding reputation in contentious probate, representing trustees, executors, and beneficiaries in disputes that involve:

• Claims under the Inheritance Act
• Will validity challenges
• Executor and trustee disputes

As part of this department, which features several individuals recommended in the Legal 500, you will have access to invaluable mentorship and the opportunity to develop your expertise under the guidance of highly experienced lawyers.

The Ideal Candidate:

• 2-5 years PQE or equivalent experience as a CILEX, with no upper limit on PQE
• Proven experience in contentious probate, wills, trusts, and estates, or a solid background managing a mixed caseload of litigated matters
• ACTAPS and/or STEP qualifications are desirable but not essential
