Private Client Solicitor - Head of Department

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to lead a well-established and successful Private Client team as Head of Department. This role is ideal for a solicitor ready to take the next step in their career or for an existing team leader seeking a fresh and rewarding environment. This long-established firm has deep roots in the Somerset area and a strong reputation for providing high-quality legal services. The Private Client team benefits from the firm's longstanding presence and strong community ties.

As Head of Department, you will oversee and support a dedicated team while managing a varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Inheritance tax planning
• Trusts
• Lasting Powers of Attorney

You will also play a key role in business development, nurturing existing client relationships and building new ones within the local community.

About You:

• A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' experience in private client work
• Strong technical knowledge and a client-focused approach
• STEP qualification is desirable but not essential
• Proven leadership skills or a strong desire to step into a leadership role
