Job summary
A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for their multidisciplinary care team at Fair Havens Hospice in Southend-on-Sea. This role involves supporting patients and families, participating in patient handling, and adhering to strict medical policies. Qualifications include GCSEs in Maths and English, a Care Certificate, and experience in the care sector. A competitive annual salary of £24,465 is offered for this important role, with shifts spanning days, nights, and weekends.
Qualifications
- Competent in keyboard and IT skills, using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
- Experience of working within the care sector.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience of using SystmOne/NHS Smartcards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in moving and handling vulnerable patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families.
- Adhere to infection prevention policies and procedures.
