A leading care provider is seeking a Full Time Senior Care Assistant in Rochdale. The role involves planning and implementing care for residents, leading a team, and ensuring high standards of person-centred care. Candidates should have a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care or be working towards it, along with experience in caring for individuals with dementia. We have opportunities for a Full Time Senior Care Assistant on Days (44 hrs per week) and a Full Time Senior Carer on Nights (33 hrs per week). We are happy to discuss this in interview. You will plan and implement care that gives residents a sense of security, dignity and independence. You will get to know residents and their families and help ensure personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, maintaining high standards of care and influencing the rest of the team. You may assist with activities such as showing how to use a walking frame, supporting meals for residents at the end of life, and communicating with residents’ families. You will support the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administering medication.
