The Shadow Robot Company is an established, employee‑owned, international and world‑leading robotics company based in London (Gospel Oak). We develop and create exceptional robots for advancing dexterity, working with dexterous hand products and teleoperation systems that solve real‑world problems.

• Work on stimulating problems delivering solutions using advanced robotic systems
• Develop software for dexterous hand products and teleoperation systems
• Collaborate with an international team of robotics specialists
• Access cutting‑edge hardware in our Gospel Oak office (2 minutes from the station)
• Balance challenging development tasks with testing, documentation, and continuous improvement

Core requirements:

• Commercial software engineering experience, ideally with integration and testing focus
• Strong C++ and Python programming skills in Linux environments
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
• Professional or personal project experience developing code for robots
• Problem‑solving mindset with a positive outlook on solutions

Valued experience:

• Embedded programming (professional or personal projects)
• Robot simulation experience
• Love of learning in environments that encourage growth
• Team‑oriented approach with no ego
