Job summary
A recruitment agency is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage daily accounting tasks including data entry, invoice processing, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent communication skills, and be proficient in Xero accounting software. This is a full-time position based in Essex, offering a salary between £30,000 and £32,000 depending on experience. The role requires in-office work 3 days a week.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is essential.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Must be proficient in Xero accounting software.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, including data entry and invoice processing.
- Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and purchase orders.
- Reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis.
