A law firm in the UK is seeking an ambitious Duty Solicitor to join their Crime Department. The role involves managing a caseload of criminal law cases, assisting in complex matters, and advocating in court. Applicants should have at least 2 years PQE, with strong case management skills and a commitment to ongoing training. A supportive environment and a £500 bonus upon probation completion are offered.

Responsibilities
- Manage your own criminal law caseload.
- Assist the Head of Department on complex matters.
- Advocate in court on a wide variety of cases.
- Prepare cases for Crown Court.
- Represent clients at police stations.
- Act as a Duty Solicitor.
- Work outside office hours when required.
- Travel between offices, courts, and police stations as needed.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Duty Solicitor to join our clients Crime Department. Our client is ideally seeking 2 years' PQE, but it also welcoming applications from newly qualified Solicitors.
- Manage your own criminal law caseload
- Assist the Head of Department on complex matters
- Advocate in court on a wide variety of cases
- Prepare cases for Crown Court
- Represent clients at police stations
- Act as a Duty Solicitor
- Work outside office hours when required
- Travel between offices, courts and police stations as needed
- Qualified Duty Criminal Solicitor (2 years PQE preferred; NQs considered)
- Strong case and time management skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Proficiency in IT
- Professional, polite and patient manner
- Ability to meet office targets, budgets and billing requirements
- Sound knowledge of Criminal Law
- Understanding of Law Society requirements for private practice
- Commitment to ongoing training and development
- Higher Rights of Audience desirable
