We are looking for an experienced and driven Partner or a Legal Director to join the Private Client team in our Bath office. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to join an inclusive and friendly team, working with a broad variety of clients.

You will be responsible for:

• Advising clients on the administration of estates, including complex and high value estates.
• Drafting and advising on Wills and LPAs.
• Providing tax-efficient wealth structuring advice for individuals, families and business owners.
• Advising on the use of trusts, partnerships and companies.
• Leading and managing a team of fee earners.
• Building and maintaining long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients.
• Advising on inheritance tax and capital gains, through use of trusts and partnerships
• Supporting the growth and development of the Private Client team, including mentoring more junior solicitors
• Contributing to business development and strategic direction of the department.

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience within Private Client law.
• STEP qualified or with equivalent experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of trusts, estate administration and tax planning.
• Strong management experience, capable of leading and inspiring a team.
• A client focused approach with the ability to manage sensitive and complex matters.
• A track record of business development and an ability to grow and manage client relationships.
• Ambition and enthusiasm for helping shape the future of the practice.

Location and working hours:

This is a hybrid position based in our Bath office. There will be an opportunity for you to work with other fee earners within the private client team based at our other offices.

It’s a full-time position, 35 hours per week. We will consider applications from candidates looking for part-time positions.
